Once again, allow me to unabashedly gush over Orla Kiely's vision and execution for a moment.
How perfect is her latest presentation? Details, details, details. The 60s Mod-style theme is beautifully executed right down to details. Further solidifying her affinity to the era in which her clothes pay homage, Orla actually recreated a 1960s Secretary's office using everything from mid-century desks and chairs, typewriters, trash cans, even the lamps! All of which is possible to obtain with the availablity of vintage pieces in today's market. And, of course, Orla's signature color palette of golden yellow, green, blue, and hues of red is on full display. I love the peter pan collars and T-strap shoes designed by Kurt Geiger. Sigh. Does anyone make nostalgia look as beautiful as Orla?
